Cindy Henson is a Certified Acupuncturist and the founding acupuncturist of Acupuncture OK located in Sand Springs, OK. Helping people get well, improve their health and find balance in their lives has been her vocation and her passion for over 30 years.
Cindy earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University and graduated on the Dean’s Honor Role with an impressive 3.5 grade point average, while working to put herself through college.
She has been a Personal Fitness Trainer certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (formerly the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America) since 2003. She has taught yoga classes for over ten years and is a Registered Yoga Instructor. She currently teaches yoga at Life Senior Services and offers her clients Yoga Therapy and Personal Training, as well as practicing Traditional Oriental Medicine at AcupunctureOK.
Cindy and her husband Wes live on a farm where they raise dairy goats and chickens, and pursue a simple life. They built their own home and raised two sons. They are enthusiastic, if not particularly skilled (LOL), kayakers, sailors, and bicyclists. Cindy enjoys reading, yoga, and walking, and is dedicated to animal rescue. She is currently training to become certified as Functional Medicine Practitioner.
